WOLVES AND US

Wolves are creatures of habit just like we are, or are they? They mate for life, but our divorce rate is rising. They have a leader of their pack who takes care of their pack. He see to their food, shelter, safety, everything they need. Our country is in a shambles because our leader is conflicted with his own beliefs and does not believe in taking care of our citizens first. Most families unfortunately do not have the same values as the wolves either these days because every one is stressing over their own personal well-being instead of the groups. Wolves are struggling for survival because hunters are killing them for their furs or because they are hunting on their property which at one time belonged to the wolves. We need to learn to live together as the wolves do and we need to learn to respect the wolves. They have just as much right as us to live on this earth as we do.

Do not live in the past cause if you do then you will never move ahead to where you are meant to be. The past can eat you up from the inside out unless you let go.... Live free like the wolf and live for today, not yesterday...

Speak for Me

"Animals cannot speak, but can you and I not speak for them and represent them? Let us all feel their silent cry of agony and let us all help that cry to be heard in the world."

~Rukmini Devi Arundale

These beautiful animals are among the many who are in constant danger. They are continually being slaughtered for their furs and for their will to survive in a world where their habitats are slowly disappearing. People are constantly clearing land to build housing communities and gated subdivisions only to abandon the project due to lack of funds. Instead of clearing all the wild life's habitat only to cancel the project, why not start such projects on smaller scales. Preserve what you can of the wildlife and the natural homes of these beautiful creatures. Yes, we need housing for us, but with so many started and unfinished building projects around the world do we really need to start more? Why can't we just finish one that has already been started? Please quit tearing up our environment just because you have the money to do so and help preserve some of the habitats these animals need for their survival. After all, we do depend on the animals as much as they depend on us...

The Cry of the Wolf

By the cover of night, you sing your song to the moon.
Knowing shortly that morning will be there soon.
... Most people think,it's just a howl and a cry.
To me, it's just beautiful music that you sing to the sky.
Loyality to your pack,is to the end.
And your always willing to help one of your friends,
When night falls, you go out for the kill.
It's just for the food and not for the thrill.
You go out with the pack and hunt like men.
Always returning by morning to your den.
Your with your family every moment of the day.
Constantly protecting your pups from the prey.
So next time you howl, sing very loud.
Your a great family man and should be proud.
We all should be like you, giving our family so much love.
So keep on singing your song,to the stars above.

My Posts

Some of my posts are in my own words and some are the wisdom of others. I try to publish the author of such posts when it is borrow from them and if it is an unknown then I state that as well.. These words in these posts that are borrowed have meaning that has touched my inner spirit and I hope that they help and touch yours as well. Some are from a native American site and others are from site that are fighting to save the great wolves of our world. Both, Indians and wolves , lives and their way of life are in danger of becoming extinct. This is something we must not allow. Fight for the rights of those that are endangered and at risk of losing the heritages. I am of Native American ancestry and am proud to say so. Please enjoy my posts, be they mine or others, and know that our spirits feel all the turmoil from within and knows our needs long before we do.....

Never be Discouraged

When you are tired of it all and nothing seems worth the time and trouble, remember that you feel that way not because you want less life but because you want more of it! Feeling discouraged can be a sign that you want a fuller life, a better quality life.Everyone has felt sick, left out, overcome by age or bad experience. Though we may feel like we're the only ones who have ever felt this way, we're not. Our challenge is not to give in to despair when we're discouraged. Instead, when we reach out and give to others rather than always expecting to receive from them, we begin to find love and respect--both for others as well as for ourselves. Then our discouragement dwindles and doors open that we didn't even know existed.

If a person fell into icy waters during the winter they took off their clothes and rolled in the snow and rubbed his body with it and got warm, Then they forgot it.

Prayer of the Wolf..

Great Spirit watch over me
Through the darkness of the night
As I go to quell my hunger
... Guide me with the moon’s light--

I know that I am hated
By Man deep within his mind
But this world is one of the predator
That is how it was designed

I ask only to be left in peace
So that I may live from day to day
And for room to raise my family
So they may run and feed and play

And when I answer that final lonesome howl
As my ancestors who have gone on before
I hope that I will meet them
At heavens very door

I pray that will be the place
Where man can live at our side
Where the valleys are deep, mountains are high
and the spaces are forever wide

That then he may finally see
That I am his brother and not his foe
for only through losing hatred
May our spirits ever grow

The wolves of the world are in trouble and they need your help. People are destroying them because they feel threatened by them, but it is actually the wolves that are threatened. Their very existence is threatened. They only wish to live on the land and provide for their young just as we do. Just because they are animals does not mean they do not understand survival!! Fight for the wolves and help save a beautiful creature that has just as much right here as we do!!!!!!

My Spirit Soars

My spirit soars to heights unknown,
a forgotten place hiding just out of reach.
It lifts upward on the wings of the hawk,
seeking that which was locked away.
My spirit soars to a familiar place
     long forgotten with time,
The heart that I locked away for
     its own protection silently calling.
My spirit soars to the only one
who has always held my heart unknowingly,
The mate to its soul from
     a time long gone.
My spirit soars to the man who had
      unknowingly stolen my heart,
But now returns to once
      again become its mate.
My spirit soars to the arms
      that hold me tight,
The body that fits to mine
      just right.
My spirit soars to the warmth
      that comes from within
The man who has always been
      my hearts keeper.
My spirit soars to you ...

Choices

Choices. Everyone has choices. Life is all about the choices you make. Where those choices lead you is all up to you. If the choice you made is not taking you where you want to go, then change the direction and make a new choice. We are human and sometimes our choices will lead us into a situation that we do not want, but nothing says we can not correct our mistakes. Even choices made when we are young and think we know everything can lead us down a path that is totally destructible to us, but we can change it. We can move forward from that mistake and hopefully correct the decision that totally screwed up our lives. Once the realization hits that where you are at is not where you want to be, then take that step to try and correct it. It can be done. Sometimes that first step is a very hard one because you do not know what will happen. Will things get worse? Can I fix this mess I am in? Yes, you can. It is not easy. You might get slapped in the face with a reality that what you did also messed up someone else's life to the point they felt they had nothing left either. You might get a response of total contempt because of how bad it affected their life as well, and they can not get over the depth of the hurt you caused them. On the other hand, you may end up with the best thing that has ever happened to you in your entire life. And because of the mistakes made along the way, you will appreciate the second chance at total happiness. Life can be redirected, course can be changed. It just takes you be strong enough to admit that the mistakes were your fault and own up to them. You will become a stronger person for taking that step and making things right. Believe in yourself and then believe in those that hold your heart. Only then will your life be what you hoped it would be all along. Only then will you find that love that totally consumes you to where the only thing important to you is making that person totally happy. Only then will your heart be free to beat as one with your soul mate, for everyone has that one special person who can become your soul mate for life. That one person who means the world to you, the one you want to share everything with. That one who want to share everything with you.      Whtwolf

Please Save Us!

A wolf once roamed the wild,
free to do as she pleased;
Seeking and searching for what
she did not know.
So much had changed over the years,
the woods were smaller,
The food was scarce
and no one from her pack was near.
They had to travel
far and wide,
Just to catch some prey
to feed them the next day.
She searched everywhere
for something more;
A sign of a better way
to lead her pack each day.
As the sun went down
and the moon arose,
She headed back to
feed those that were close.
With head held high
and eyes on the sky,
She prayed to the Great One
"please don't let my pack die".
We are but few,
the proud and strong,
We are but few
to carry on.
The wolf pack is all
thats left,
Thanks to the ranchers and others
who kill but not for our flesh.
They kill for nothing,
they kill for fur,
They kill for sport
and leave us to rot on the dirt.
Our young must see this
and yet they pray,
That you will say
"enough of this and lead the hunters away.

Our World

As I ponder on the road I have traveled in my life, I have come to the realization that my path could have been very different if I had listened to my inner spirit. This world we live in can be very harsh and unforgiving and we seem to allow it to control us. We give in to the demands of our lives on the premises that we have to have this to survive. Yet, our ancestors had less than we did and they survived just fine. They did not need the objects of our civilization we have now to exist. This world that belonged to others before us was clean and pure in a sense that the Native Americans who lived here lived off the land. They only used what they needed for survival and used it wisely. They respected the land and each other. A tribe not only consisted of many families but in a sense was a family in itself. The ways of the white world that was brought with the first settlers was only the start of the destruction of this world that was once free of chemicals and pollutions that could kill. The diseases they brought would eventually wipe out all but a few of each tribe in this great nation. Civilization is still wiping out the people of this world. In a off chance that they can better our technology or life itself, they are polluting the atmospheres, the waters, and even the ground itself. The builders are destroying the trees, the wildlife, and the sacred grounds of those before us, all in the name of civilization and money. If I had to choose between living with today's technologies or living off the land with my ancestors, I would choose the Native Americans and living off the land. They respected each other and the world they were given. They deserved better than they got. Civilization is just a word, civilized is just a figment of the word. Life is what you make it, your inner spirit is what is given to you at birth to guide you, whether you listen to it or not , it stays there and eventually you will hear it.
